Right before the pandemic began, in late winter 2020, I started a health kick. Two factors propelled it: first, I was ultra burnt out, emotionally and physically. Second, my youngest child was finally old enough for me to claim a bit more autonomy. (Of course, that was all about to come crashing down like so many pre-school Zoom sessions.)

Enter JoySpace by Katia. Full disclosure, Katia Herman and I have known each other since before either of us would probably like to admit — back when we were the kids, up to no good, instead of raising them. So, when she suggested that I sign up for her upcoming wellness reset, every Tuesday morning for six weeks, I listened.

“You need this,” she told me.

She’s not one to mince words, and I knew she was right.
